Into the Darkness: A Huge Handmade Witch Junk Journal

There are journals made to hold memories.

And then there are journals that seem to remember things all on their own.

Into the Darkness begins with a woman carrying a single candle. We do not know where she is going, what called her there, or whether she has noticed the figures gathering quietly behind her. We only know that she has stepped beyond the safety of the light—and something is waiting.

Dark witch journal spread with a haunted staircase, shadowy figure, black spiderweb lace and layered ephemera.
Gothic journal spread with a wide-eyed cursed woman and a ghostly Victorian figure inside a dark old house.

Inside this enormous handmade witch journal, the story grows darker with every turn of the page. Shadowy staircases lead into abandoned rooms. Pale apparitions linger in old photographs. Veiled women stand silently among the graves, while witches, strange recipes and unsettling little messages appear among the pockets and folds.

Open witch junk journal with a dark doorway, Victorian woman, skull damask paper and candlelit silhouette.

Nothing here feels entirely accidental.

Gothic journal spread with a Victorian girl, black bat tag, layered pockets and distressed papers.
Ghostly figures rise behind a tombstone beside a pale haunted house page in the handmade witch journal.

Layers of distressed papers, black lace, tangled fibres, vintage photographs, tags, hidden pockets and clipped-in curiosities make the journal feel less like something newly created and more like an object discovered in the back of a long-forgotten cupboard. Perhaps it belonged to the woman on the cover. Perhaps she was following the spirits. Or perhaps they were following her.

Open junk journal spread with a vintage séance portrait, lace patterns, spell cards and a glowing witch’s cauldron.
Witch journal spread with a haunted castle, old witch, broom, frog and handwritten rat stew recipe.

This is not a cheerful little Halloween journal filled with smiling pumpkins and candy corn. Into the Darkness belongs to the older, stranger side of the season—the haunted houses, ancestral whispers, candlelit séances and stories told after midnight.

Gothic journal spread with a Victorian couple, haunted staircase, frightened woman and layered tags.

It was made for the person who is always curious about the locked door at the end of the hall.

Wicked witch and crystal ball spread with bat damask paper, pockets and layered ephemera.

The person who would pull an old photograph from a hidden pocket, even after being warned not to.

Spooky journal spread with a ghostly woman tag, black polka dots, cemetery scene and spectral couple.

The person who knows that some mysteries are better left unsolved…but opens the journal anyway.

Dark journal spread with a hooded candle bearer, an ancestral quote and two pale blue veiled spirits.

Just remember:

Something wicked this way comes.

Witch journal spread with ghostly women, distressed green paper, a witch illustration and vintage definition tag.

And judging by these pages, it may already be here.
Thanks for hanging out with the ghosts, ghouls and me ;) Lisa xo
