Making a Glittery Fabric Cover Journal

There’s something especially comforting about working with fabric, lace, and paper all at once. The textures slow you down. The process becomes quieter.
And before you know it, a journal begins to take shape almost on its own.

This journal started with a piece of blue patterned fabric that felt too lovely not to use. From there, I layered soft lace, sheer trims, and a simple elastic closure — letting the materials guide the design rather than following a strict plan. Inside, the pages are a mix of vintage book paper, music sheets, soft patterned papers, and spaces meant for journaling, collage, and quiet creativity.

I wanted this journal to feel gentle and usable — the kind you reach for without overthinking.
A place for scraps, notes, memories, and slow moments at the desk.
