Making a Glittery Fabric Cover Journal
There’s something especially grounding about working with fabric, lace, and paper together. This journal came together slowly, guided by texture rather than a plan, and became a quiet place for scraps, notes, and creative pauses.
Build a Striking Collage Focal Point in Your Junk Journal
Collage is both playful and intuitive. By choosing a bold focal image, supporting it with colour, and layering textures, you can create a spread that feels striking, whimsical, and deeply personal. Watch me create a fun collage page in my junk journal.
Yellow Monochrome Junk Journal with Vintage Ephemera
My original intent was to create a yellow monochromatic junk journal that had only yellow and shades of yellow papers, ephemera and fabric trims. I started out by gathering yellow papers and looked around my studio for yellow ephemera of all kinds. It soon became apparent that sticking to strictly yellow was going to be a challenge and one I wasn’t sure I could adhere to.
As I went on, I found myself wanting to add more colour and create some great colour combinations with the yellow tones I had in my papers and ephemera.
A Junk Journal/ Daily Planner Pages
I find that I am a bit of a Goldilocks when it comes to daily planners. I usually like a bigger, full page planner because my hand writing is messy and it is quite large. Just about every January I head out and look for a big full page planner and I think that this will be the year that it works when in the past, it never does. I am the eternal optimist LOL!
This year I decided to do something different and create a junk journal to use as a daily or weekly planner.

Autumn Junk Journal Pages
I love this time of the year. I truly enjoy the shorter cooler days, the crisp sharpness of the air and of course the crunching sounds that echo as we walk through the leaves. It is truly a magical time. It’s a time of letting go, release and leaving behind what is no longer needed. We are to let of and move forward without the things, feelings or ideas that are no longer relevant or functional for us. It is the time of the year for a great release which is followed by a great exhale.
Winter Journal Pages
I have been working in my winter junk journal as of late and not a moment too soon seeing as we are half way through February. I am a big fan of winter, the short days and dark nights and even more the absolute peace and quiet that comes with winter. This winter junk journal seeks to celebrate and capture the manifold brilliance of the season, serving as a testament to the captivating wonders that unfold during these frosty months.
Whimsical Handmade Cat Theme Junk Journals
These quirky cat journals are super chunky with 70 pages, over 100 tags & journal cards plus tabs, fancy paper clips, vintage playing cards and book pages. These journals are similar inside but each cover is different and there are variations inside which do make them one of a kind. There is a lovely mix of interesting pages with lots of colour, design and some fantastic cat art but also lots of blank space to write or glue things in.I curated these journals with many elements but very little is glued down. I have left things “floating” around so that you can create the kind of journal that works best for you. Where I might like a pocket or tuck spot may not be where you want a pocket. So, I have used paper clips to secure these items in so that you can truly personalize these journals to your own tastes and needs :)
